Memories of Disney in February

Several years ago, we found ourselves at Walt Disney World in February. Those of us from New York were happy to be in temperatures that were above thirty degrees, so we were not bundled up like the poor Floridians. Still today I find myself dreaming of being back in Florida instead of here. Sure making snow cream is fun, and it was hilarious watching my son row his sled down the street, but I would prefer a Dole Whip while watching my kids hug some of our favorite Disney friends.

Disney Sidekicks

Sidekicks are a must have in life and Disney movies. Some of my favorite memories at Walt Disney World have been interacting with famous sidekicks like Donald, Tigger, Stitch, Pluto, and others. As you can can imagine, there are too many to include in one post, but here are some of my Disney sidekick meetings and viewings from trips gone by. Who is your favorite Disney sidekick?

Magical Disney Parade Memories

No matter how many times I go to Walt Disney World, something new and amazing always happens. Perhaps I find a Hidden Mickey, watch a parade from a new spot, or dine in a different restaurant. It keeps the magic alive and makes my family want to go back for more to add new memories to our #DisneySide. Growing up I recall seeing The Main Street Electrical Parade and being captivated. I remember being upset when it left Walt Disney World and went to California. Then, I was able to watch it a few years ago through the eyes of my children. It was a fantastic experience. What is your favorite Disney parade moment?

Disney Letter S

It is time to celebrate the Disney via the alphabet. It is always a lot of fun to look  back at magical memories in terms of a single letter of the alphabet. When looking for “S” items I decided to stick with some familiar faces. Stitch, Sulley, Simba, Storm Trooper, Sarge, and even a photo of me in elementary school with Smee. What are some of your favorite Disney Letter S items?

My Disney Side

It it really hard to explain what my Disney Side is because Disney is part of who I am. I can not recall a time that Disney was not in my life. I still remember going to Walt Disney World as a Toddler without my brother. Then, learning to make phone calls was extra magical on our Mickey Mouse rotary phone (classic). Multiple magical trips to different resorts in Orlando as a child, and the adventure to Hawaii and Disneyland to celebrate my father’s 40th birthday. When TechyDad and I began our life as husband and wife, we went on a Walt Disney World honeymoon. This was his first trip and I quickly made him understand why the Disney Side was crucial in life. While we now bring the kids with us, I still love how Disney can make me feel like a kid, melt away the stress of life, and smile every day.
