Over a gallon and a half of Mommy Moo

That is what I just tossed into the garbage from my freezer.

Why?

Well those 200+ ounces of milk were all pumped and frozen in May and June when JSL was not latching on. So all of that was surplus from the beginning that is no longer able to be used. That was 26 bags of milk hogging my freezer space.

Who knew it was that big in there?

*sigh*

So depressing to toss, but better than not enough.

Now I am off to take care of sick JSL. The poor little guy isn’t keeping anything in today. So it is time for more Pedialyte and pumping for Mommy.

One talented lady :)

Thanks to the Flickr Swaparooni group I have met many fabulous ladies in the land of blogging. One in particular is an amazing woman who’s blog is fascinating and her talent has no end. H of Oh My Stinkin Heck connects with her audience. Her touching life stories, honesty and humor make her website an addiction. One one the items that OMSH loves to do is make up songs about her life. She’s done several in recent weeks that all moms can certainly relate to. She has a talent and could be the Weird Al for all Mommy’s. Even JSL stopped what he was doing to listen and dance to her latest song this morning titled These are a few of Life’s Obnoxious Things. The Stinking Swing

Fisher Price seriously needs to rethink some of the marketing on the swing that we own. Really, I’m not kidding. Whenever I put JSL into the thing he poops! The last three times over the past 24 hours he has not disappointed. The sad part, NHL was the same way. If he was ever constipated we would put him in to think and after a little while of relaxing while swinging . . . VOILA!

Another storm, tree down & even more flooding!

Tonight JL and I were taking the boys to my parents house to head out to do some packing. Well, as we went out the door it started to rain. We bolted to the car. BAD MOVE! We should have turned around and went back into the house. We got just to my parents just as the sky opened up. We sat in their driveway for a good 15 + minutes while it dumped water and hail on our car. The wind was SO bad that my van shook. UGH!

Finally we decided it didn’t look like it was going to lighten up and to slowly drive home. I couldn’t go up the block since a huge tree limb was in the middle of the road. Every way I went there were flooded roads and trees down. Well we made it to our block and saw our next door neighbor’s tree down. It barely missed her house. We pulled into our driveway and eventually bolted into the house. I nearly fell. My flip-flop got stuck in the mud and JSL nearly went flying in his carrier into mud along with me. Thank goodness JL came running to rescue the baby. We got into the house dried off, calmed NHL down, fed JSL and assess things. Of course our damn basement was flooded again. My father is giving me the name of a new person to contact with the city to complain to. I’m just sick of this crap.
