Memorial Day Thanks 2011

A long weekend filled with family and friends. Time outside in the sun and fun. Of course, all of this is thanks to the brave men and women that have served in the military allow all us to have our freedoms. On this Memorial Day, we need to stop and remember these amazing and brave individuals.

There is no hero braver than those that serve in our United States military to protect our rights. Far too many pay the ultimate price to defend our country and the rights that we have. To all of those that have served, lost their lives, and the brave families behind them . . . .thank you! All of you are the real reason that we celebrate Memorial Day.

Happy Mother’s Day 2011 To All Women

Our plans for today are still up in the air, but I know it will be a great day. I will be with my boys, and hope to see my mother, grandmother, and aunts to celebrate this day.

Before I head off to do things with my family, possibly see the circus, complete some laundry, and give hugs out to my kiddos – here is a little something for all of the women who make a difference in the lives of children:

Mother’s Day 2011 Celebration At Nursery School

Dear JSL,

Yesterday, I was invited to come to your Mother’s Day celebration at school. Before the celebration, there was another event. When that was over, there was time to play outside. I asked you to pose by the tree since it was so beautiful outside. You agreed, but did not really want to smile.

Then, it was time to head inside. Your classroom was decorated for us when we walked into the room. All of the special guests had seats behind the kids at the table. It was so cute and wonderful. I went up to get us something for a snack and you had fun sharing them with me.

Once all of the guests had arrived, your entire class sang us a Mom Song. I got it on video and will cherish it forever. Then, you got the presents that you made. You were so proud of your creation.

Of course, I have to laugh now. You have taken my gift and claimed what you want to keep in it. Thank you JSL for making yesterday such a fun and special day.
