1000 times NO

This has to be the funniest kids’ shorts that we have seen in a while. Love it so much that I had to share.

JSL is addicted to it and wants to see it over and over and over again. Now, I want to get the book that it is based on a book by Mr. Warburton to see what it is all about (FYI – this short was on Nick Jr).

So what do you think? Will my kids now learn how to say NO in multiple languages?

Mickey ears through the years

Mickey Ears are something that have graced my head practically all of my life. I can remember getting a pair (or two, or three) on Main Street USA and then getting my name put on them. My Mickey Ears of yesterEAR looked much like these worn by NHL and JSL just before our first trip with the boys to Walt Disney World in May 2009.

Boys sporting the Mickey Mouse ears

When we went back to Disney World in February, we allowed the boys to pick out another hat or pair of ears. On the day that we were going, JSL was not feeling well. TechyDad and NHL selected the following for him. Here I am sporting the ears, channeling my inner child:

C'est Moi with Mouse Ears

My question this week is inspired by all of the Peace, Love & Pixie Dust flying around here:

If you could design your own pair of Mickey Mouse Ears (which you CAN do at Downtown Disney now), what would be on yours? Have you ever had a pair of Mouse Ears?

Peace, Love and Pixie Dust

Anyone that knows me, understands that I have a love for all things Disney. Growing up, I went to Walt Disney World almost yearly. I still remember the time I was bribed to go on Space Mountain as a kindergartener and seeing EPCOT for the first time.

Love for Figment begins

When it was time to plan my honeymoon, I was able to convince TechyDad that Disney World would be the perfect destination for us. He had never been and it had a while since my last visit. I think I put as much, if not more, planning into our Disney World honeymoon. We stayed at the Beach Club Resort which was magical alone. We went on several behind the scene tours and dined at amazing restaurants each day.

2001 Disney Memories

As our boys got older, we thought it was the perfect time to take them to Disney World. I actually selected going to Disney World with the entire family over going to Chicago to BlogHer in 2009.  I sat and planned out our meals, hotel, and where we would go (park wise) each day. The trip was even more magical since my parents went with us. It was only fitting since they are the first generation of Disney vacation fanatics in the family. I learned so much from watching my mother plan each and every trip to Disney World over the years.

Our only photo with all 6 of us

Then it was announced that there would be the Disney Social Medial Moms Celebration at Disney World in February. With less than a month to spare, I planned a week long visit for the four of us to Disney World. It was beyond magical and amazing. Meeting people in person that I had talked with online at Walt Disney World was a dream come true.

Those dreams do come true

The truth is, I love talking, writing, and helping to plan Disney vactions. Family and friends often e-mail or call me for my thoughts and suggestions. I honestly will drop anything for my love of Disney since it is such a genuine passion of mine.

So today, I wish everyone applying to the Disney Moms Panel much Peace, Love & Pixie Dust. I know that I will be following my heart and hoping to be part of this special group of men and women.

Driving the boat

Today, the kids were so thrilled. Uncle M took a bunch of us back out on the lake to try for another ride without rain. You see, while we were just starting out on Saturday it started to rain pretty bad. Each of the kids had one thing in mind, they were excited to be able to drive the boat with Uncle M. This is now a tradition and the kids look forward to it. Each of the kids were able to go behind the wheel with Uncle M twice.

NHL started off. At first, he drove in figure eights. Then, after a while, he figured out how to maneuver the boat around to go in the wake to hit some big waves.

NHL's turn to drive

Next up was cousin SG. She was a little timid the first time. When she tried again, she was quite into doing donuts on the water. Yes, we went round and round in circles. When she finally stopped, she was intrigued by the shore.

Cousin SG's Turn to Drive

When it was time for JSL to drive, he was so quiet. He was thrilled to sit with Uncle M and kept going int a straight path. It was really nice and calm – no fear of getting sea sick with him as the captain.

JSL's Turn to Drive

Thank you again to Uncle M for making some very happy little skippers on the lake today. These are definitely memories that we will all treasure.
