Look out apples here we come!

Last night JL made plans without me (*gasp*) to go with some friends to an apple orchard. This morning we decided that we weren’t really up to picking, but wanted to go there to see the place and get some apples (needed Macoun before they are out of season).

So we packed into my van and all went together.

We started off looking at the pumpkins that were able to be bought. We convinced NHL to wait to get one until the end of the visit so we didn’t have to lug it around.

Here’s NHL looking at all of the pumpkins while eating a freshly picked apple that he got with J.

While the boys were looking at the pumpkins JSL and I were hanging out in the shade. Here’s a rare photo of the two of us. Seriously I do exist

Next we tried some samples of different types of apples and some peaches that were grown at the orchard (man there are too many different types of apples). We then wandered on to the animal area for NHL to check things out. I will skip photos of the animals (they are on my Flickr feed). Instead some of us being kids.

From here three of the boys went into a corn maze (JL, NHL and J). Here are some photos from that.

From here we went to have lunch. We bought cider donuts to take home and got fresh made ice cream. Yes, that you read that right . . .that is what we all had for lunch. NHL and I had strawberry shortcake flavor and JL had pumpkin pie. After that we went to the store where we bought a lot of Macoun apples and some Honey Crisps (JL likes those) along with corn, honey and NHL’s pumpkin.

Both little guys were tuckered out after the day and went to bed early. One has already been up since he was gagging on drool. Poor little teething monster.

A freakin’ kakamunch day

I am sitting here in hysterics laughing my rear off . . . man it feels so good (even if the underlying problem isn’t too funny).

Why you ask?

Well, if you have to freakin’ kakamunch ask then you aren’t in with 4 year old boy talk. Heck I never heard the one before the other freakin’ day when my kakamunch son, NHL, started using it. I think the new freakin’ PreK class is to blame. I may have to talk to his kakamunch teacher about this freakin’ issue.

Now for why I’m in hysterics.

My friend L and I were chatting on IM and I told her about NHL’s latest. Then we both went off for a little while to do things. I went off to work on a project for my Swaparooni gift and JL was at my computer making a Spider-Man birthday card for NHL’s friend. Here is some of what we said:

Me: JL here making a card
L: aaah
Me: Or should I say I’m making a FREAKIN’ card?
L: Just freakin finish and let _____ get back on the freakin computer
Me: ____ has a FREAKIN’ bug up her FREAKIN’ butt about FREAKIN’ crocheting.
L: well, that’s not my freakin department! I’m a freakin knitter!
the_angel_forever: She made the FREAKIN’ KaKaMunch _____ (Swaparooni gift must not be revealed). ;-)
L: Well, she can take her freakin kakamunch ____ and get a kakamunch crochet hook and some freakin yarn and get to freakin crocheting…or get some freakin knitting needles and knit a kakamunch scarf
Me: Tis me – ya freakin kakamunchhead    (***Made JL move to take over)
L: well, you need to keep your kakamunchhead husband off of your puter
L: (you know how sad this whole conversation is?)
Me: YUP – Blogging eventually
Me: With freakin pseudo-kakamunch names   (***Those would be Me and L  *wink*)
L: LMAO
L: D just said "wait. How come Freakin JL gets to use her Kakamunch computer and I never get to use the kakamunch freakin computer?"

Me: I can’t breathe – laughing too hard
Me: Need a pee pad underneath me
L: so are we!!!

So there you have it. How pathetic are we? Grown adults that live near each other "talking" on freakin’ IM instead of the kakamunch phone. No less using my kakamunch son’s freakin’ new words from his new PreK class (totally blaming them). I may have to talk to his kakamunch teacher about this freakin’ issue.

Insert SNORT here! I am laughing so hard I am actually snorting.  Oh how I needed this after the last week or so.

Seriously I do not normally talk/type/IM/blog like this. . . I’m just in a mood.

***Please note L gave me permission to blog this.

Weekend update & Tub Follies

Boy do the weekends go quickly.

Yesterday we got ready in the morning for L, D and I to come over. D was coming to help JL to put the AC in the upstairs so we can clean it up and turn it into a playroom to utilize the space there. Unfortunately NHL was in a foul mood and did not want to play with I. For the first few hours NHL was in his room sulking and crying on his bed. He kept calling for me and asking me to play. He was a mess. Jealousy and things really seem to be hitting hard, but in a way where he’s very depressed acting. Based on the behavior we asked my parents to watch the baby so we could do a special big boy night out. We offered it up tonight and he declined to stay with Jacob at Nana and Papa’s house.

Back to yesterday. So while NHL had a fit, the rest of us watched as D and L tried JL’s Nintendo Wii. Then we all realized it was late so L and I went out to get pizza to bring back for everyone. By this time NHL was finally starting to play with I, but was still very cranky. Everyone left after the late lunch and while I was nursing JSL, JL took NHL into his room. I thought they were reading a book, but they fell asleep. I had to get JL up to take JSL so I could go to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine.

During all of this my bleeding continued. It is the same thing every day. At night it’s almost gone and I think it may end. Then from 8-1 it gets really bad and I feel horrible. I’m cringing at the thought of the ultrasound tomorrow, but I want this to end. I seem to be making up for all of the months with no period in the last 6 weeks.

Last night we stayed in and just had a nice night home. I sorted out JSL’s new clothes in 3-6 month, got NHL’s stuff out and washed it. Too bad we didn’t have any gift receipts for some of the things because we have a lot of items in this size and won’t have others since NHL and JSL are going to be different sizes in different season. Oh well.

JSL went to sleep at 10:30 in his room with NHL. He slept all night and woke up a little after 7 this morning. This morning we met up with my father for breakfast at “Bob’s Diner” for our anniversary. After that we went to Target for a few things (forgot to get more burp cloths) and then tried to get NHL’s hair cut. Unfortunately the girl that does the best and will deal with his fits with the clippers wasn’t there. Then we went home since I was cramping a lot again and needed to rest.

At home we did lunch and then the boys went outside to play with NHL’s soccer net. JSL and I eventually went outside and we had a nice time outside talking with our neighbor. NHL and I look like we may have slight sunburn since we didn’t put anything on and stayed out too long. BAD MOMMY! Then we came in and my parents called to see what we were going to do with the boys for dinner. NHL opted to go to their house with JSL. So, JL and I went out to dinner together and did a little shopping at the mall before that. After we went to the rents house and they had a cookie cake for our anniversary. Then we went home, got NHL into bed and it was time to tub the little monkey that smelled from spitting up so much.

It was the never ending tub with thing after thing that happened. To sum it up:

1 – A little poop in tub. Mommy cleans it out and back in.
2 – WHOA BABY – major action in the rear . . . lots more poop in tub. (Note this is a little tub in the sink – so it gets nasty quickly).
3 – Baby out of tub to clean it one more time. While out he manages to pee all over me (*rolling eyes*)
4 – Back into the tub again only to puke in the water this time and successful washing. Thank goodness since we were running out of clean baby wash cloths that I could locate.
5 – We managed to get him out and dressed without any more “fun” However interesting to note while Daddy was dressing him he was crying and farting to a beat. The kid is musical already!
6 – After cleaning up the tub the baby was ready to reload and nursed himself to sleep.

Now the little guy is resting quietly in the papasan chair until we put him into bed in a few minutes.

I am off to rest since I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow at 11:00 when I have the ultrasound and find out the results of the pathology from what the removed.

Weekend update

Last week while I was home with JSL I received a phone call from the county health department. They asked if I had just had a baby. I told them yes and wanted to know what they wanted. They told me that the newborn baby baby blood screen that JSL had was not done correctly. They asked if I had it redone. I told them it was news to me and to explain what was going on. To make a long story short they goofed and had the wrong doctor listed and never contacted us until almost 4 weeks after JSL was born.

Friday I asked my grandmother to go with JSL and I on a few errands. I picked her up early and we went to my school to wish the kids a nice summer. We were there for a while and my grandmother sat in my classroom and fed JSL. Then we decided to head to AMCH to have JSL’s new born screen redone. UGH! The paperwork at the lab before was a PITA. Then the test itself was horrid. I swear if I had witnessed it when he was born I would have refused to have it done. It was horrible to witness. My grandmother actually had to walk away since she couldn’t watch it any longer. When the torture was over my grandmother and I went to the cafeteria to have lunch. After lunch we went back to my house to regroup. I was able to change JSL, he had some milk and I was able to pump since I was so uncomfortable.

Next we were on a mission to get JL a Father’s Day gift. NHL and I had already gotten something for the boys to give Daddy, but I needed something. I was debating a few things, but had one thing in particular in mind. I was going to head to Target, but said that Toys R Us may have it. Since my grandmother had not been there in years we went there. We wandered around. She bought JSL some bibs, NHL some cars, and Sesame Street Wallies for the spare room. Our last stop was the gaming area. I looked all around and didn’t see what I was looking for. So I walked up to the guy and said “Please don’t laugh at my question. . . ” He cut me off and told me to look up where the Wii’s were location! I was in shock – there were 20 or so Wii’s there. I had never actually seen one in a store no less that many. So I decided to get the Wii and shock JL with it for Father’s Day, our anniversary (which is this coming Sunday), and his B-day (early August). After that we went to the Deli Warehouse to see the produce there and then I took my grandmother home.

Saturday we went on a bunch of errands (BJ’s, Deli Warehouse, Ryan’s Produce Market. . . . ). That evening my parents called to see if they could take NHL to dinner. He went with them and we had dinner here and then went to return a movie (and get Charlotte’s Web for NHL) and to the grocery store for a few quick things. When NHL came home he had a package in his hands. He sat down and started to open it. JL questioned him about it. He said it wasn’t for him and was for JL and to open it. Apparently while out and about NHL, Nana and Papa found something for only NHL to get Daddy for Father’s Day (he insisted it was just from him). JL opened it and it was an amazing dinosaur tie. JL actually wore it to work Monday and NHL was so proud since he helped to pick it out.

Sunday morning the boys both slept a little late. When NHL woke up we went to the living room with JL to give him his gifts. First NHL did the gift from the boys. It was from Build A Bear and was a little box with Thing 1 and Thing 2 in it. It’s adorable and perfect since those are our pet names for the boys. Next it was my turn. I left the bag in the hall and made JL go to get it. So there sat a Toys R Us bag with the Wii inside. He was floored. Apparently he had a dream about opening a bag with a Wii in it for Father’s Day. So now that he’s psychic he must get the lotto numbers! ;)

After that we had a small breakfast. We met my rents and grandmother for lunch at Cracker Barrel and then went to Target to get a few things. After that we met L and I back at our house so the boys could play. The plan was to let them run and play in the sprinkler and pool. So they came at 3:30 and the boys (with JL) were outside for 2 hours. We have great photos on our website, but below I will include a few for now. While the boys were outside L helped me to cut my fabric and made a Moby to wear JSL. We did that and went outside with JSL in the Moby. Within minutes the poor baby was a bright RED tomato. We went back in to cool off. After the boys came in and were dry we packed them up to have dinner out.

It was a busy weekend! Now we just need to break open the Wii for JL to try (he still hasn’t had a chance to do that yet). On that note I am off to debate heading to school to clean my classroom after JSL is up and fed. Not sure if he’s in a mood for that given the mouth irritability.
