A HOT HOT summer ahead

It technically is not summer yet, but you would not know that looking at the scorching temperatures up and down the eastcoast of the US. We are in the middle of a hot, humid and nasty heat wave. Yes, the temperature here is 94+ today (heat index of over 100) and this is the third day of 90+ degree heat. I do not know what we would do if we did not have our window AC units. They have done a decent job getting the humidity out of the main living section of our house. The upstairs room needs the AC unit put in still and is beyond sauna state.

In just a few short days NHL will be done with nursery school and getting ready to head to kindergarten this fall (still in denial about that). I have started to gather ideas and things to do with the boys that are inexpensive and do not involve much driving since gas is well over $4.00 a gallon here.

To help give ideas of things to do this summer 5 Minutes for Mom has a great new set of giveaways going on. They are running a Creative Summer Days giveaway chock full of ideas from June 10-18. Head on over and check it out.

For real! Is there such a thing as a bicycle-powered station wagon?

I remember last year when Girlie Girl was entering kindergarten. They grow up so fast, huh?

backyard pool, sprinklers, walks to the local park. Thats what we are doing outside of 3 nights at the shore! Unless we can talk someone into coming to visit HINT. LOL

It has been super hot here, too. We did have a storm come through that helped cool us down. I was outside the other night and commented on how nice it was. I checked the weather and it was 81 degrees. It was so refreshing after the mid 90s with over 100 heat index we had been having!! It seriously only felt about 70 degrees to me!

I am living in denial about the price of gas. I let my husband fill up the tank so I can bury my head in the sand.

It is such a bittersweet thing when our little ones grow up, isn’t it?
