Living in New York state, the autumn weather can be rather unpredictable at best. Some days, you can wear a sweatshirt outside, while other days you need a winter coat along with hats and gloves. This morning, they mentioned that a winter storm over the Atlantic was backing westward into our area. They said nothing would really happen here aside from a few flurries. May I show you what it looks like outside my house right now:
Yes, that is snow sticking to the ground. In addition to that, ice pellets came down for a while and have left a nice slick layer. Ah, life in northwestern New York. So today I plan on staying inside, getting laundry done, and taking care of the boys who are both home. While they play nicely, I will also do a little stress knitting.
This is my current project., a scarf for ME (imagine that) to keep myself warm in the cold months ahead.
How are you all doing today?
Update: Two to three hours later it looks like this outside of my house:
I couldn’t believe it when my EVO told me snow flurries today. It’s just not acceptable. Neither is the rain freezing on by porch banisters.
I know it’s November, but…I just am not ready for it.
Nice job on the scarf. :)

I have to say, I was surprised to see so much snow. We don’t even have the sleds down from the top of the garage yet.

ACK! That is so not cool. I can’t believe it is snowing already. I am still trying to hold onto the last bits of summer/fall here in Texas. I did drag out the electric blanket today though. :(

Stress knitting? Is that a thing, then? :)
My family outside of Chicago got hit with icy rain recently. They were not pleased. They usually have some flurries before Thanksgiving, though.

Augh! I never got any photos of the snow, which is ridic, why do I not keep my camera in my purse always.
Christina and I were in the laundromat for the worst of it because of a mashed potato quilt fiasco that both of our kids were involved in. YEAH.
Snow. And it was in the mid fifties today! What gives.
