Yes, you read that right. I like to multi-task while I am reading. Time is tight here and being able to do all of the items that I want to do, along with what I have to do is tough. In January, I wrote about my new found love of reading books on CD while knitting. During the summer months, I must admit, I was not keeping up with this as much. I put the knitting needles down some and was reading actual books.
Now the weather has shifted and I am trying to work on a blanket for the boys. After the boys are in bed and my writing is done, I have been working on my big knitting project and reading books.
I just finished reading The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff. In just about a week, any chance I had, I read this 15 CD long book. (Loved it – more on that coming soon). Thanks to my little MP3 player, I was able to take it to listen while waiting for JSL at school, while knitting, cleaning and anything else. Today, I started listening to The Help by Kathryn Stockett and also have The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
Since it has been a while since I last asked, I would love some more book suggestions (I’m good on the kiddie literature books).
What are some books that you would recommend that I put on my list to read while multitasking. I am open to all genres and if you have listened to them on CD and liked them even better (the reader is key in a lot of these audio books).

I like mystery books. Any thing written by Mary Higgins Clark is a reader. I read A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg some years ago that was a great read.

Both of the above books are definitely on my list of books to read. I really recommend The Hunger Games series, Lamb by Christopher Moore, and off the top of my head I’d add The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
I highly recommend reading these two books:
Lee – A Life of Virtue by John Perry
and
George Washington’s Sacred Fire by Peter A. Lillback
Both wonderful necessary reads for any American

Sorry, I’m tapped out of book ideas for the moment as I’m reading my camera manual and how to write about travel these days. Also, out audio books are geared to the kids; currently, we’re listening to Swiss Family Robinson on long car rides.
Well, we did have a good run listening to Bill Bryson, with both his travel books and history of science. He’s got a captivating voice and a dry wit.

I’m not really reading anything at the moment. Im doing a bible study on How to be more than a good bible study girl by lysa Tekeurst.
However you could visit the Amazon classics and see what you’d like to add to your reading shelf.
I love your idea of books on tape, that would go much better in my car instead of trying to drive and read while waiting in line to pick the boy up from school.

Okay, first of all thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoyed yourself while you were there and I’m already following you. Second of all.. boy, am I the wrong person to ask that. I’m not much of a reader, but when I do it’s usually Stephen King books or mythology. Now, I did read a book I really enjoyed a very long time ago, and it was called, “Flowers in the Attic”, and it really held my interest. Hope that helps. Have a great weekend, and don’t forget to stop and try out my new meme Monday for “Monday’s Music Moves Me” it’s tons of fun.

I used to read several novels a month however the last book I read was the last Harry Potter book. In 2003 it was necessary to put a titanium plate in my neck and I haven’t really read since. I can’t get comfortable without making my neck hurt. Sitting, laying down….Sadly it just doesn’t work any more. Books on CD would be a very good thing for me!
