Mickey Ears are something that have graced my head practically all of my life. I can remember getting a pair (or two, or three) on Main Street USA and then getting my name put on them. My Mickey Ears of yesterEAR looked much like these worn by NHL and JSL just before our first trip with the boys to Walt Disney World in May 2009.
When we went back to Disney World in February, we allowed the boys to pick out another hat or pair of ears. On the day that we were going, JSL was not feeling well. TechyDad and NHL selected the following for him. Here I am sporting the ears, channeling my inner child:
My question this week is inspired by all of the Peace, Love & Pixie Dust flying around here:
If you could design your own pair of Mickey Mouse Ears (which you CAN do at Downtown Disney now), what would be on yours? Have you ever had a pair of Mouse Ears?

Aloha #117
Of course I did! I would like mine in black & hot pink with a little faux fur or feathers. Totally diva mouse style!

I remember having the ears as a child, but don’t remember where I got them from.
CMash
I don’t remember if I had them. I would design purple and white ones with a little bling on the ears!

heeheeehee…I’d make something that I could also use to hold my hair up (make it a hair accessory).
Have a great Friday!

I saw the title of this post over at Stacy’s site and just had to follow over here to see what was behind it. Cute ears and cute boys!
I think my own pair would be kelly green with a Minnie Mouse bow gracing the top and my name stitched in black on the back. Don’t know why, but that vision just popped into my head.
Sprite loves Disney World and has been many times in her three years since we live close enough and have season passes, but has never gotten her own pair of ears. We may need to take her to Downtown Disney on our next trip to finally initiate her.

I had no idea they did that now. Good to know, I am planning on getting a pass soon. But If I could design my own pair I would probably stick with the original black and have my name embroidered :)

I’ve never had a pair of Mickey Mouse ears. I have no idea what I would put on them if I could design my own but I imagine that it would be fun to try.
Maybe I’ll get some one of these days. :)

Hmmm…if it had to be something Disney I’d do The Rescuers. If it could be ANYTHING I’d put celtic knotwork, art nouveu motifs, or Chines cherry blossoms. Wouldn’t mouse ears covered with that red Chinese silk fabric be cool?
And thanks for the great lunch-box suggestion on my Aloha Friday!
I think I must be one of the few people on the planet who’s never been to a Disney park. I’d put lights that blink and wear them at night.

Hmmm…I’m kinda partial to the classic black but I think I’d like a pick bow on mine!
NY’s brother is a die hard Disney fan and always goes on the BIG days…like this summer on Disneyland’s Birthday 7/17. We didn’t go (I don’t do well in crowds) but he brought NY a set of ears with the 55th birthday enscription on them. hehe
