Today JSL and I went to the doctor for his 2 month well visit. Before the doctor saw him I had my TDaP shot. If you don’t know what this is here’s some information for you and any adult in your child’s life:

They are really pushing to get the word out about this booster shot for adults, especially for people with children under the age of 1.
After my shot it was time to weight and measure JSL. Last time we were there a month ago he was 9 lbs 7 oz. Today he weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs 3 oz. I think the nurse wasn’t quite on with the length since he was squirming. He’s measuring in at 21 1/2, but I think he’s longer than that. Today we actually saw the doctor and not the PA. He was very impressed with how strong JSL is and how much head control he has already. He also noticed how he’s ready to try to take off rolling and creeping when put on his tummy. I am doomed with this one! Anyway, everything looks good. We’re still going to see how his tummy does before starting reflux meds. He doesn’t think it’s anything out of the norm for his age. His circumcision was checked and he said it looks great, my concerns are basically just his sensitive skin. He did mention that his testicles are swollen still and that should continue to go down as he gets older (they already are so much better than they were when he was born).
After the visit it was vaccination time for JSL. The nurse came in and told me he was due for 5 shots, but if we wanted 3 were available in one together. So needless to say we opted for that option and he received 3 shots. He’s really off tonight – puking/pooping and running a temperature even with Tylenol. Ugh, these things are so evil for little babies! We’re debating waking him up now since he’s due for another does now. The bad news – when he goes back in September he will need 4 shots – *sigh* When we do go back we made our appointment with the new doctor to meet her.
On that note I am off. It’s likely to be a “fun” post immunization evening and I have the meeting with my boss tomorrow at 11:00 and then my post-op visit at 2:15.
